User feedback indicates the model is popular - although some have complained that the new design is not as good as the older - classic design. There is the issue of the high running costs of having to replace the filters. Unfortunately, the unit does not remove all common water contaminants. It does a great job of making the water taste better but in terms of protecting your health against nasty water contaminants, we have to rate this filter down. The Aquasana AQ-4000 is a better choice because it combines a low cost of annual ownership with great protection for your family's health.
